    Directions:
    1) 225 mi (3.5 Hours) – Drive to Pocatello Idaho
    2) Merge onto I-15 S/US-91 S toward Inkom/Salt Lake/McCannon.
    3) 30 to 40 mi (approximate) Between Arimo and Virgina
    4) Look for Devils Creek on the left, right off of the Interstate

    Speaker:

    Roger Philips is one of Boise’s leaders in exploration fly fishing for warm water species, and is the Outdoor’s Editor for the Idaho Statesman.  Roger truly lives the lifestyle of an outdoorsman, spending much of his time hiking, exploring, or riding his mountain bike in the Boise foothills.  Amongst his hobbies, Roger spends a considerable amount of time fly fishing. 

     

    Please join the Boise Valley Fly Fishers, as we present local fly fishing warm water expert, Roger Philips, and his talk on fly fishing for warm water species.

    This event is a BVFF club sponsored event in collaboration with the women's WFFID fly fishing club!

     

    Reserve America is where you can reserve camping spots. They are really nice camping spots with showers!

    Fishing is for blue gill and largemouth bass and you really need a float tube or single person pontoon boat.

    We had some really good fishing last year both on the surface and subsurface using steamers. See fly shops for recommend flies.

     

    On Saturday at 7:00pm we have a BBQ with the women’s fly fishing club we have Shelter Side A in Eagle Cove reserved. 

    BVFF club provides and grills hamburgers and hot dogs and  the women’s club brings the side dishes.

         Mike McLean - High Mountain Lakes

    Speaker:

    Living in McCall, ID Mike and his wife spend most of their weekends hiking up to as many new lakes they can find in the area.  Having a father that was a park ranger, Mike grew up hiking and climbing the national parks in the western United States.  In 1970, Mike was the first to scale up a specific spot on the infamous granite rock in Yosemite National Park, and from his accomplishment, was able to name the climb, Uncle Fanny. 

     

    Please join the Boise Valley Fly fishers as we present local outdoors expert, Mike McLean as he presents on High Mountain Lakes.
